Dr. Yvette Peters is researcher at the University of Bergen, and the principal investigator of the project ‘The Politics of Inequality. How Representative Democracy (Mal-)Functions in Europe’. She completed her BA (2005) and MPhil (2007) at the University of Leiden in the Netherlands, and completed her doctoral degree (2011) at the European University Institute (EUI) in Florence, Italy.

Between 2010 and 2013, Yvette worked as an assistant professor (wissenschaftlicher mitarbeiterin) at the chair of comparative politics, at the Humboldt University in Berlin, after which she took up a position as a postdoctoral researcher (2013) at the department of comparative politics, UoB. Her work focuses on representation, political inequality, democracy, political participation, as well as political institutions.
