Heidi Sandaker
Prof. HEIDI SANDAKER was leader of the Bergen Dark Matter Centre called DAMARA (Dark Matter Analysis, Research and Applications). She completed a PhD (2005) at the University of Oslo, based mostly at CERN, in Switzerland Geneva (2 years) and at Oxford. She was awarded a CERN fellowship (2005-2007) before coming as postdoctor to Bergen (2007).
She has also been leading a Norwegian Research Council grant on the AEGIS detector for measuring gravitational effects on anti-matter and participated in 3DMiMIC, a Norwegian Research Council grant to research dosimeter applications of 3D detectors from particle physics. In 2010, she started her new post in Bergen as researcher. Today she is professor in Bergen and Oslo and deputy head of department (research) in Oslo. She leads a Dark Matter group in Oslo and the participation of Bergen and Oslo in the Cherenkov Telescope Array.
