Harald Barsnes

Harald Barsnes was the leader of the project “Building the bridge between high-throughput omics analyses and novel biomedical knowledge” with a main focus on the development of user-friendly bioinformatics tools that enable researchers to analyze and share their own research data.

Barsnes obtained his PhD from the Department of Informatics at the University of Bergen in 2010. He then worked as a postdoc at the Department of Biomedicine, and as a researcher at the Department of Clinical Science, before starting his own group in 2016. After the completion of the TMS project, Barsnes was hired as an Associate Professor in bioinformatics at the University of Bergen.
