Norwegian universities and university hospitals can receive grants from this foundation. Applications from other institutions, organisations or individuals are not considered.
The foundation invites universities and university hospitals to apply, either through calls for proposals or by direct invitation.

Major investment in advanced cell therapy
The funding from the Trond Mohn Foundation will give researchers in Bergen the opportunity to develop new ways of treating chronic and acute wounds, bone damage and psychosis using stem cells. Etableringen av et nytt senter for regenerativ medisin og forskningen ved dette senteret, vil komme en rekke pasientgrupper til gode.

Trond Mohn stiftelse har tildelt 16 millioner kroner til Senter for dyphavsforskning ved Universitetet i Bergen (UiB) fordelt over fem år. UiB avsetter ca 88 millioner kroner til lønnsmidler og drift av det tverrfaglige forskningssenteret.
