MRI scanner

In 2013, BMFS awarded Helse Bergen health trust NOK 6.6 million to help fund a PRISMA 3T MRI scanner.
In 2012, Trond Mohn donated two 3T MRI scanners to Helse Bergen health trust. At the hospital’s request and to facilitate research, Bergen Research Foundation funded an upgrade of one of the scanners to a Prisma 3T MRI scanner.

The foundation covered the extra costs associated with the upgrade, which amounted to NOK 6.6 million.

The scanner is used for both research and patient treatment.
