Prostate cancer
In 2014, the University of Bergen (UiB) received a donation from EGD Holding repr. by Einar Galtun Døsvig, Trond Mohn, Frico Invest repr. by Herman Friele and the Tordis and Frits C. Rieber trust fund.
The donation was made via the Bergen Research Foundation. The object of the donation was to conduct a research project on prostate cancer. In accordance with the project agreement, further funding was to be sought for the project. In 2016, the Foundation received further donations of NOK 1 million from the same donors, also earmarked for the project. The donations were transferred to UiB via a separate deed of gift.
Karl Henning Kalland at the Department of Clinical Science is project manager.
