Kjetil Våge
Kjetil Våge is a professor in physical oceanography at the Geophysical Institute, University of Bergen. He completed an undergraduate degree in physics at the University of New Brunswick, Canada (2003) followed by graduate degrees (MSc in 2006 and PhD in 2010) in physical oceanography from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution Joint Program. He has receivedNorwegian Research Council postdoctoral (2010-2012) and young research talent (2014-2018) grants, aFulbright Arctic Chair award (2015-2016), and support from the TMS Starting Grant-program to study the pathways and processes through which the warm Atlantic inflow into the Nordic Seas is transformed into cold, deep water.
