She received a master (diploma) in biology (1997) and a PhD (Dr. rer. nat.; 2001) at the Freie Universit\u00e4t Berlin, Germany. After a postdoctoral period in T\u00fcbingen, Germany, working on \u02baDifferentially expressed genes in dendritic cells\u02ba, she moved to the University of Bergen where she received an Intra-European Marie Curie postdoctoral fellowship.<\/p>\n<p>In 2007, she received a researcher grant from the Norwegian Cancer Society and was taken up into the recruitment program of the Bergen Research Foundation with the project \u201dUse of dendritic cells to modulate immune responses\u201d. The same year she also was awarded the S\u00f8ren Falch and \u00f8ienl\u00e6ge Sigurd Falchs Juniorpris by the University of Bergen.
