Working in the laboratory of Dr. Philipp Scherer at the UT Southwestern Medical Center he studied the functional role of hypoxia and fibrosis in obese white adipose tissue. He did postdoctoral work in the laboratory of Dr. Sohail Tavazoie at the Rockefeller University where he studied the mechanisms of metastatic secretory programs in aggressive breast cancers.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<div class=\"wpb_text_column wpb_content_element \">\n<div class=\"wpb_wrapper\">\n<p class=\"p1\">In 2015, he moved to the University of Bergen to start his academic\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.halberg-lab.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">laboratory<\/a>\u00a0in the Department of Biomedicine.
