He earned a PhD from the University of Bergen at the Bjerknes Centre for Climate Research, including an extended research stay at Laboratoire des Sciences du Climat et de l\u2019Environnement near Paris. After a postdoctoral stay at the University of Bern, partly funded by a Marie-Curie grant from the European Union, he returned to Bergen in January 2017, to start his project.<\/p>\n<p>His scientific interests extend from ocean and sea ice dynamics to the study of ice sheets and the atmospheric changes that govern their mass balance. He has a keen interest in paleoclimate that connects these neighboring fields.
